I was reading today's paper and saw a photo of the Carnaval de Bataille des Fleurs. This is an annual event taking place in Nice, France every February. It got me wondering about other Flower Festivals around the globe. This blog is just the tip of the iceberg!
While this is a full carnival, there are many other Battle of Flowers parades and events. Madeira, the Philippines, Spain, the Netherlands are just a few of the host countries. One which is closer to my home is the Battle of Flowers taking place in Jersey on the second Thursday in August.

I found myself going down an internet rabbit hole - there are so many wonderful flower festivals full of vibrant colours.
